Most of the studies in time have considered the mode and methodology of use of vaporizers and not the superiority of vapor extracted from it. The flaw associated with vaporizers is that most of the commercial vaporizers are very slow in extraction of active ingredients.
Therefore, the vapor released is fragrant but less active in the beginning and as time proceeds vapor becomes more and more bio-active but less fragrant as most of the fragrance is already released.
This is stated by the fact that active ingredients in herb Cannabis require a minimum temperature of 149°C to 206.3 °C whereas vaporizing temperature for aromatic terpinoids is 126°C. Pure vapor can be inhaled only when there is quick extraction and release possible like in Venturi vaporization compartment bowls equipped with hot air releasing mechanisms.
Another flaw is that most vaporizers produce dry vapor as it gets cooled after extraction before delivery. But this dry characteristic often creates troubles by irritating throat and inner lungs. Cannabis smoke includes tar and is very harmful, but it’s not present in properly extracted vapor; but, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is a strong expectorant and will make the tar consumed cough up. A Vaporizer with rapid extraction with ice / water cooling with conditioning of the vapor is the best.
